Work or volunteer stays are an ideal opportunity to experience the Buddhist way of life first-hand. They last for a week, starting at 9:30 a.m. until 17:00 p.m. with breaks for lunch and tea.
Volunteer work is varied and can include: cleaning, cooking, gardening, office help, painting, decorating, etc. If you have specific skills, please indicate this on the application form.
This program includes accommodation, meals, and free admission to all teachings and meditations that do not coincide with volunteering.
Within the volunteer program you have two days off per week. Outside your working hours you can participate in the classes and meditations organized by the center. On your days off you can take the opportunity to explore the surroundings or simply rest in a very quiet environment in the center.
The food offered in the center is vegetarian and the accommodation is in a multiple bedroom, it is very comfortable. The only thing you need to bring is a sleeping bag and a towel.
Since the Vajrayana Center is a Buddhist community, visitors are asked not to drink alcohol, not smoke on the premises, not eat meat or fish, and not play music or play audio without headphones.
Volunteering at a Kadampa Buddhist temple is a wonderful opportunity to spend time in our modern Buddhist community, learning about or deepening your experience with meditation and Buddhism in daily life.
Volunteers stay at our center, in the Sierra de Guadarrama, and receive food (three meals a day), accommodation and the opportunity to participate in meditation classes and courses in exchange for 30 working hours for a week, with two days off. Main jobs can be cooking, cleaning, gardening, advertising, office, etc. It is an active and dynamic volunteering.

The Kadampa Meditation Center in Madrid is located 40 minutes from Madrid, in the Sierra de Guadarrama, in a natural environment. It is an ideal place to disconnect from the problems of everyday life.
Jobs vary based on need and can include cooking, gardening, cleaning, office work, crafts, etc. We also have construction projects and improvement of our facilities so if you have specific skills they will be very welcome.

accommodation and meals
All meals are vegetarian including eggs and dairy.
We offer fully conditioned accommodation in dormitories for up to 8 people maximum, you only need to bring a sleeping bag and a towel and, if possible, work clothes and shoes.
